Union County State's Attorney issued the following announcement on March 15.
Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections:
William Marion May (DOB: 11/11/1967) of Dongola, Illinois has been sentenced to six (6) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Aggravated Driving under the Influence of Alcohol (Class X Felony). May will also serve a three (3) year Mandatory Supervised Release. May was arrested in January 2019 following a traffic stop conducted by Union County Illinois Sheriff's Office Deputies. The charge was elevated to a Class X Felony based upon prior DUI convictions. The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney, Lisa C. Casper.
David Carl Dover (DOB: 06/01/1959) of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Aggravated Driving under the Influence of Alcohol (Class 2 Felony). Dover will also serve a two (2) year Mandatory Supervised Release. Dover was arrested in September 2018 following a traffic stop conducted by Union County Illinois Sheriff's Office Deputies. The charge was elevated to a Class 2 Felony based upon prior DUI convictions. The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney, Lisa C. Casper.
