Southern Seven Health Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
Shawnee Junior High School at Wolf Lake and Southern Seven Health Department’s CATCH program partnered to begin a Do-Gooder-Anti-Bullying Campaign. Students are asked to do things throughout their day that go above and beyond what is asked of them. When a staff member witnesses the do-gooder act, the student is awarded a coin. The winners for January were 8th grader Shyla Pearl, 7th grader Peyton Samuels, and 6th grader Cole Pender. The January winners are featured in the accompanying photograph with the Union County sponsor of the program, Amber Toler, and LaDonna Bachmann, Physical Education instructor at the school.
