Report: Century spent $9,446 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Century Community Unit School District 100 is up 15.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Southern Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Pulaski County school district spent $8,167 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,446 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 409 to 367.

Century's spending in 2017-18 was 29.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
