Report: Anna spent $7,865 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Anna Community School District No. 37 Board of Education is up 0.6 percent from five years ago, according to a Southern Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Union County school district spent $7,818 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $7,865 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 740 to 694.

Anna's spending in 2017-18 was 41 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
