Report: Vienna spent $9,476 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Vienna High School District 133 is down 12.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Southern Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Johnson County school district spent $10,817 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,476 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 330 to 380.

Vienna's spending in 2017-18 was 28.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
