UNION COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY: Vienna Woman Sentenced to Prison for Continuing Financial Crimes Enterprise

Union County State's Attorney issued the following announcement on Jan. 11.

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Whitney L. Patton a/k/a Whitney L. Martin (DOB 06/14/1989) of Vienna, Illinois has been sentenced to six (6) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Continuing Financial Crimes Enterprise, a Class 1 Felony. Patton will serve a two (2) year period of Mandatory Supervised Release. Patton was arrested in October 2018 following an investigation by the Anna Police. Patton took personal checks from a vehicle parked in Anna in August 2018 and used checks at various Southern Illinois businesses.
