Massac County Sheriff Office issued the following announcement on Jan. 11.
Massac County Sheriff's Deputies have been investigating several Vehicle break-ins and thefts that occurred in Joppa on 01/09/19. Video surveillance was obtained and a photo was circulated of a person breaking into a vehicle. Over 100 tips were received from the public. Deputies identified 24 year old Nathaniel Reynolds of Metropolis. On 01/11/19 Deputies located and arrested Reynolds. Nathaniel Reynolds is being held at the Massac County Detention Center pending formal charges by the Massac County States Attorney. The Massac County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Joppa Police Department in the investigation.
