Hardin County Commissioners met Dec. 27.

All Commissioners were present. A staff breakfast was held with Mrs. Jo Ellen Beaman present and Commissioner-elect Tim Striker. Staff recited the pledge at 9:13. Purchase orders and bills were reviewed and signed. Pending issues were discussed with the following resolutions approved and signed:

Commissioner Rogers moved to pay HJ Schodorf & Associates Inc. $2,896.11.

Commissioner Beaman moved to approve the 2019 Appropriations of $8,671,945 with estimated revenue at $8,282,000. The process is using Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement for the shortfall of $812,000, which is an unsustainable path. To date 12/21/18 revenue is $9,150,000. Commissioner Rogers second. The bid opening was held for the CDBG Village of McGuffey Water Valve Project. No bids were received. Mark Doll was present and noted estimate of $36,000 for a name brand product, Air Vac. 106 valves the village will install. The supplier was sent the bid book and offered assistance but no bid was received. Just a quote for material only. It is a sole source provider the state is aware. Mark is working on a direct purchase if allowable by the state.
A morning brunch was opened to all staff, friends and vendors to wish Brice Beaman well in his retirement.
