Hardin County Commissioners met Nov. 27.

Here is the minutes provided by the commissioners:

All Commissioners were present. Commissioner elect Tim Striker was present. Commissioners recited the pledge at 9:00. Purchase orders and bills were reviewed and signed. Pending issues were discussed with the following resolutions approved and signed:

Sheriff Keith Everhart and Chief Deputy Burns gave the end of the year report. Shop with a cop assisted approximately 30 children. They are still experiencing issues with communications. Radios are 10 years old, will be a $500,000 project to replace and update them and it will be done in small increments, starting with dispatch.

Luke Underwood, spoke with the commissioners regarding the North Annex occupancy permit process. He will need to know what the use of the rooms would be in order to fill out the correct form. Currently is an E for education. He will apply for Business. The floor plans will need to be redrawn and relabeled. The Commissioners are working with contractors for proposals to repair the floor since remediation has been accomplished.

Kyle Camper, Dog Warden, reported four dogs in the kennel. A year to date report was submitted. He is not taking any dogs, in the cage, after hours and seems to be working. People are bringing in thru the day. After hours Law Enforcement calls are going well. On-line dog tags are ready to start on Saturday December 1st. It will be cut off January 31st. Work load is going well with the new Deputy. He is working with Pawsitive Pals on getting outdoor kennels and dog runs. The Commissioners express their appreciation on how Kyle is running the Dog Kennel, how he works with others and runs the kennel like a business. He budgeted 7500 licenses for 2019.

Commissioner Rogers moved to approve Randy Comer to do construction repair at the north annex at a cost of $10,420.90 to be taken from N03. Commissioner Crowe second. Roll call: Crowe-yes, Beaman-yes, Rogers-yes. V101-303

At 10:54 Commissioner Beaman moved to enter Executive Session to conduct an interview for the position of Hardin Hills Administrator. Tim Striker was invited. Commissioner Rogers second. Roll call: Crowe-yes, Rogers-yes, Beaman-yes. At 12:21 Commissioner Crowe announced the end of Executive Session. Commissioner Crowe moved to offer Sharon Huston the Hardin Hills Administrative position effective December 31, 2018 at $85,000 annually with three weeks paid vacation the first year and six month probation.
