Massac County Unit School District #1 issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.
We are starting to experience issues related to another tech app called Lipsi. This app is described as an anonymous messaging application. Here is their own description: “Lipsi is more than just an anonymous app. It’s a platform that attracts the boldest who want to step out of their comfort zone. Meet new people in class, on campus, in a cafe…Honest thoughts. Real feedback. Always in control.”

If possible, please talk to your children about this app and the potential harm it could cause them and other children through anonymous cyberbullying. This app can be directly linked to Instagram accounts and users can very quickly erase their chat history in the application itself.
