November 18, 2018
Metropolis Officers handled a crash which had occurred on 11th and Perl. The offender left the scene in a green Nissan. Investigation led to the arrest of Amiee L. Davis, 28, Metropolis. She was charged with Driving while license revoked and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. She was released on bond.
November 19, 2018
A Metropolis Sergeant observed a subject he recognized as Isreal Avila,28, Metropolis. The sergeant was aware that Avila was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Domestic Battery and Violation of an order of protection. Avila was arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
November 20, 2018
Elvira R. Meyers,37, Metropolis was arrested at Subway on E. 5th St. Meyers was wanted on a warrant issued by Massac County. The warrant was for a petition to revoke supervision-driving while license suspended. Meyers was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
November 21, 2018
A Metropolis Sergeant observed a silver Chevrolet on 8th and Pearl. The sergeant recognized the driver as Ashley Nicole Cooper, 24, Joppa. The sergeant was aware that her driver’s license was suspended. A computer check confirmed her suspension. A traffic stop was conducted and Cooper was arrested. She was able to post bond.
Metropolis Police took a report from a victim who stated that she was held against her will by Austin M. Wilson, 25, Metropolis. Wilson also struck her repeatedly and spit on her. He also threatened to cut her with a box cutter he held against her throat. Wilson was arrested for Domestic Battery and unlawful restraint. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
November 22, 2018
Metropolis Officers were informed that the IL Gaming Board officers were looking for a brown Nissan that had just left the casino in reference to a check fraud investigation. IGB stated that they had one in custody and believed the driver was also involved. A Metropolis Sergeant observed the Nissan parked at a local store. The driver, then drove back to the casino. The driver gave three false names before the IGB officer arrived and informed the sergeant of her real name. Catrina L White,43, Memphis TN was arrested for obstruction of ID and driving while license revoked. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center. IGB is handling the fraud investigation.
November 24, 2018
Metropolis Officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Catherine. The victim advised that she was pushed and hit in the head. She also showed the officers where her screen door had been damaged. Kevin J. Mannis, 53, Albany OR, was arrested for Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. Mannis was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
