Massac County Sheriff Office issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.
On 10/21/18 at around 1:00 A.M. a Deputy was in the area of 11th and Ferry Streets in Metropolis. The Deputy observed a bicycle being operated without proper illumination. The Deputy approached the man on the bicycle and recognized him as 53 year old James Beasley of Metropolis. The Deputy was aware that Beasley had an outstanding warrant out of Massac County. Beasley was arrested and charged on the warrant for Failure to Appear in Court on an original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting a Peace Officer. Beasley was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.
