New Simpson Hill Community School District 32 Board met September 20.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
President Hoffard called the special board meeting of September 20, 2018, to order at 4:30 pm.
Present were: Hoffard, Bain, Craig, Hill, and Widowski. Mize and Ross were absent.
Administration present: Mr. Nighswander and Ms. Armstrong.
Motion by Bain seconded by Widowski to convene to closed session at 4:32 pm to discuss:
•Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2c (1) carried.
Motion by Craig seconded by Bain to resume to open session at 5:25 pm, carried.
Motion by Widowski seconded by Bain to employ Ross Hill as Head Basketball Coach for the 2018-19 school year, carried.
Motion by Bain seconded by Widowski to employ Chris Watson as the Assistant Basketball Coach for the 2018-19 school year, carried.
Motion by Widowski seconded by Hill to employ Mike Waters as a part-time classroom aide for the 2018-19 school year, carried.
Motion by Craig seconded by Bain to adjourn, carried.
