Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.

From the Office of the Diretor of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, October 14-20, 2018;

October 14, 2018

Metropolis Officers were called the Citgo on E. 5th St. Officers arrested Latroy McIntosh, 35, Metropolis. McIntosh was charged with Criminal Trespass to Property. He had been previously trespassed from the property and returned. McIntosh was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Metropolis Officers were called to Acee’s Truck Stop for a trespassing complaint. Daren M. Kidd,34, Metropolis was arrested for Criminal Trespass to Property after returning onto the property. Kidd had been previously trespassed from Acee’s property. Kidd was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

October 15, 2018

Metropolis Police received a call from a citizen reporting suspicious activity where a young male jumped out of a black SUV ran behind a house and then got back into the vehicle and it sped off. The Metropolis K-9 Officer observed a black Jeep SUV with a broken taillight near 6th and Scott. A traffic stop was conducted. The Officer observed the driver, Katherine E. Wasson, 48, Metropolis and a 15-year-old passenger who fit the description of the earlier incident. While talking to the juvenile, the officer was informed that the juvenile had a controlled substance on him. (Clonazepam as well as Meth and paraphernalia.) A search of the vehicle found a baggie containing Meth in the glove box. Inside Wasson’s purse, a controlled substance (Tramadol) was found. Both were charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of a Controlled Substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wasson was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center. The 15-year-old was released to a parent.

October 16, 2018

Metropolis Police arrested Coryaunta Demond Rhodes, 25, Metropolis at his residence in the 600 block of Kennedy Dr. Rhodes was wanted on 2 McCracken County, KY warrants. The warrants were issued for robbery and Assault. Rhodes was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

October 17, 2018

A Metropolis K-9 officer stopped a white Jeep SUV. The registration on the Jeep belonged on an Oldsmobile. The driver, Timothy R. Puckett, 32, Paducah, KY was wanted on a Massac County warrant. The warrant was issued for Theft. Puckett was also charged with Operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, driving a vehicle with suspended registration and improper use of registration. Puckett was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

October 18, 2018

A Metropolis Officer stopped a Silver Honda Civic on E.5th at the Spence Apartments. The registration plates belonged on a different vehicle. Investigation revealed that the plates were suspended. The driver, alexander A Canales, 39, Metropolis did not have a valid IL driver’s license, or proof of insurance. Canales was arrested and charged with no valid IL driver’s license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, suspended registration and unlawful use of registration. Canales was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

October 20, 2018

A Metropolis Officer stopped a purple Jeep SUV on E. 5th and Yasoda. The registration on the Jeep came back to a 1995 Ford. A computer check on the driver, Charles D Anderson,50, Brookport, IL revealed that he had a revoked driver’s license and a warrant. The warrant was issued by Fulton Co, KY for Failure to appear. Officers also found two open containers of beer. Anderson was arrested and charged with the warrant as well as Driving while license revoked, No valid registration, operation of an uninsured vehicle, unlawful use of registration and illegal transportation of open alcohol. Anderson was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

And in the category of some people never learn, Latroy L. McIntosh, 35, was arrested in the parking lot of Citgo. The clerk called to report that he was back on the property after being trespassed numerous times. Officers located him in the parking lot and arrested him for Criminal Trespass. McIntosh was again, lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
