MASSAC COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE: Warrant Arrests Made

Massac County Sheriff Office issued the following announcement on Sept. 26.

On 09/21/18 Deputies went to the 1300 block of Filmore St. in Metropolis to serve an arrest warrant on 57 year old James S. Joiner of Metropolis. Deputies located Joiner at the address and placed him under arrest on the warrant for Failure to Appear in Court on an original charge of Battery. Joiner was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.

On 09/24/18 a Deputy was at the Massac County Courthouse Annex where he observed 46 year old Suzette Henson, Metropolis. The Deputy was aware that Henson had an outstanding warrant out of Massac County for 2 Counts of Theft. Henson was placed under arrest and lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.

On 09/25/18 a Deputy was at the Citgo gas station on 5th St. in Metropolis. The Deputy became aware that 33 year old Raymond Derry was hiding from him in the restroom inside the gas station. When Derry exited the restroom, he was placed under arrest for a warrant out of Massac County for Failure to Comply with a Court Order. Derry was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.

On 09/25/18 Deputies went to a residence in the 600 block of Mt. Mission Rd. to served an arrest warrant on 30 year old Desiree Morrison of Metropolis. A warrant was issued for Morrison for Failure to Appear in Court on an original charge of Arson. Morrison attempted to hide from Deputies but was located and placed under arrest. Morrison as lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.
