PUBLIC PARTICIPATION & COMMENTS: Pastor Claassen introduced his son Tim noting that he will be coming on staff as Pastor and that Pastor Marvin will be taking some well-deserved time off.

CORRESPONDENCE: TOIPAC request. Supervisor Shallenberger referred the board to pg. 5 of the packet noting a
TOIPAC request to join in a collaborative effort with other townships by becoming a member. Participation helps
preserve the benefits of effective Township Government.

Discussion: Supervisor Shallenberger reviewed report with the board. He notes that we have received the first installment of the property taxes. Trustee Hranka asks if it is possible to add an extra column showing the last months totals to make it easier to compare. Supervisor Shallenberger says he is not sure if the “program” that runs the report could accommodate this but he will check with Stephanie to see if it is.

OLD BUSINESS: Auditors office time is complete. Now we are just waiting for compellation report for filing with the County Clerk and State Comptroller. This should be completed and back to us by September meeting.

Road Commissioner’s Report: Jim McCool: Commissioner McCool reports that they are working to complete pipes on Sheridan Rd. and in Northern Oaks saying it’s important to finish before the start of the school year so as not to impede school buses. Chipping should be completed soon.
Assessors Report: by RaeLyn McCormick:
Assessor McCormick reports that she and Gail have reviewed all of Section 10. Land square footage has been calculated and all existing improvements have been re-sketched. She also reports they have started on Section 11, which is relatively small and will finish with Section 12 by Labor Day. We will conclude with Building Permits in October/November. Assessment notices will be going out August 8, 2018
General Assistant Report:

There were three (3) inquiries this month. One case was referred to Public Aid. One case was sent documents but no further action at this time. One case did not meet eligibility requirements and was found ineligible.
