Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.

From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, September 10-15, 2018:

September 10, 2018

Christina D Caraker, 35, Metropolis was arrested at Huck’s. Caraker was wanted on 2 warrants. The warrants were issued by Massac County for Possession of Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Caraker was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

September 11, 2018

Metropolis Officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of Broadway. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim was asleep in bed when she was attacked by Colleen F. McDermott, 25, Metropolis. The victim wanted to sign a complaint. McDermott was arrested for Battery and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

September 12, 2018

Angela M. Ralston, 39, Metropolis was arrested at 18th and McCrary. Ralston was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac Co for Failure to appear in court. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Metropolis Officers were called to a theft in progress at a residence in the 1000 block of E. 7th. Caller advised that her husband was trying to detain them. Upon arrival, Officers were advised that the owner observed the subjects steal an item from their backyard and attempt to drive away. Kevin A Allen,41 and Joseph A Sullivan, 49, Metropolis were charged with Theft and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Metropolis Officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of E. 3rd. Upon arrival, Offices observed that the front window was busted out and they could hear yelling coming from inside the residence. Officers then observed Alan D Taylor, Sr., 53, Metropolis exit the residence covered in blood. Taylor was obviously intoxicated and stated he had been in a fight with his son. Investigation showed that Taylor attacked the victim and caused damage inside the house. Taylor was charged with Aggravated Assault and Domestic Battery. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

September 13, 2018

Metropolis Officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the Spence apartments. As a result of the search, Jamie Lynne Summy, 35, Metropolis was charged with Possession of Meth. Thomas J Hamilton, 34, Metropolis was charged with Possession of Meth and drug paraphernalia. Both were lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Metropolis Police were called to Huck’s. Caller stated that an intoxicated patron was causing a disturbance. Upon speaking with the people involved, the officers asked for identification. Reanna L. Spitzley, 31, Paducah, KY gave false information. Once her identity was confirmed, officers learned that she was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for DUI (petition to revoke supervision or parole). Spitzley was arrested on the warrant and also charged with Obstruction of Justice. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

September 14, 2018

Casandra Quimby, 34, Metropolis was arrested at the Parkview Apartments for Violation of an order of protection. Quimby was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Silvia P. Fiers, 31, West Paducah, KY was arrested at the Acee’s Truck Stop. Fiers was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Petition to revoke supervision. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Ikie Lambert, 39, Metropolis was arrested at 10th and Ferry. Lambert was wanted on a warrant issued by Massac county. The warrant was for Domestic Battery. Lambert was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

September 15, 2018

Franklin D. Linstrom,63, Metropolis was arrested at 7th and Ferry. Lindstrom was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for domestic Battery. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Metropolis Officers were called to a vehicle crash in the 300 block of Ferry St. The caller stated that a vehicle struck a parked pick-up truck and was trying to leave the scene. Upon arrival, Officers located the crash and observed a white Ford Focus wit ha broken axle. Witnesses stated that the driver attempted to leave but could not, because of the broken axle. The office spoke with the driver, Jordan E Choat, 24, Paducah, KY, and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage as well as the smell of burnt Cannabis on the driver. Choat also showed other signs of impairment and failed the field sobriety tests. Choat was charged with DUI-Alcohol & Drugs, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Choat was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
