Cobden Volunteer Fire Department responded to 13 calls in 2017 - 40.9 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Cobden included six fires - three structure fires, one vehicle fire and two other fires.

In all, the department saw $25,000 in fire loss - or about $4,167 per fire.

The department also received seven false calls.
