Golconda Fire Department responded to four calls in 2017 - 300 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Golconda included four fires - one structure fire, two vehicle fires and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $5,000 in fire loss - or about $1,250 per fire.
