Brookport Fire Department responded to 35 calls in 2017 - 191.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Brookport included 31 fires - 17 structure fires, three vehicle fires and 11 other fires.

The department also received four false calls.
