Cave-in-Rock Fire Department responded to four calls in 2017 - 50 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Cave-in-Rock included four fires - two structure fires and two vehicle fires.

In all, the department saw $550,000 in fire loss - or about $137,500 per fire.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.
