Cairo Auxiliary Fire Department responded to four calls in 2017 - 20 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Cairo Auxiliary included four fires - one structure fire and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $20,000 in fire loss - or about $5,000 per fire.
