Analysis: Anna pays $5.91 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Anna Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.5 percent of the $240,844 the Anna Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.91 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Southern Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Anna contributed $206,009 to the fund, which saw a $2,435 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $34,835, or 14.5 percent, in 2016.
