Analysis: Anna pays $29.31 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Anna Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 96.7 percent of the $157,804 the Anna Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $29.31 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Southern Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Anna contributed $152,599 to the fund, which saw a $43,183 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $5,205, or 3.3 percent, in 2016.
