These minutes are unofficial until approved by the Board of Education. Dana Eddleman called the Regular Board of Education Meeting to order at 6:30pm. 

1. CALL TO ORDER-ROLL CALL-RECITE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 

Others Present: Superintendent Dr. Paige Maginel, Dr. Ellie Rush, Joni Lewis, Jamie Flores, Julia Thrower, Kely Aden, John Earnhart, Tim Taylor, Ryan Griffin, Melissa Griffin, Caroline Price, Tyler Kennedy, Laura Kennedy 

2. APPROVAL OR AMENDING OF AGENDA 

Motion made by Brenda Hogue seconded by Mark Eddleman to approve the agenda as printed.

3. PUBLIC COMMENT 

Dr. Tim Taylor, President, and Dr. John Earnhart, board member, representing Shawnee Community College, spoke of the opportunities at SCC and presented a check to Dongola School. 

4. REPORTS 

Motion made by Cherie Wright seconded by Phil Miller to approve the Consent Agenda.

Motion made by Phil Miller seconded by Cherie Wright to approve the Certified Seniority List.

Motion made by Phil Miller seconded by Brenda Hogue to approve the trip to State Beta Convention in Springfield March 3 & 4.

6. CLOSED SESSION 

Motion made by Cherie Wright seconded by Tyler Eddleman to go into Closed Session at 7:05pm For Exception 1- The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, or to hear testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity. Exception 2: Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberating concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. Exception 21- Discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under the Act, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi- annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06.
