City of Metropolis Ordinance Committee met Dec. 8.

Moved by Alderwoman Michele Longworth and Seconded by Alderman Chad Lewis to approve the minutes of the previous meeting held 11-10-25 as presented.

The ordinance removes the two northly handicapped parking spaces on the east side, between 5th and 6th Street on Girard that no longer need to be handicapped restrictive parking. By removing such parking restrictions this will benefit the public for residential parking and encourage travelers to visit the local business in that area.
Moved by Alderman Cord Koch and Seconded by Alderman Chad Lewis to recommend to full Council to adopt Ordinance Amending Title VII Traffic Code, Chapter 72, Parking Schedules, Schedule III. Handicapped and Disable Veteran Parking, of the Code of Metropolis
